A stone’s throw from the center of Bordeaux, Yolande welcomes you to her family home – a tastefully converted traditional “échoppe” where stone, wood and steel blend with oriental colours to create a unique space..
The four bedrooms in their warm spice tones, offer you peace and relaxation.
This exotic atmosphere continues into the garden where you can relax at the poolside beneath the palms or in the shade of the olive tree.

At a Bed & Breakfast, hospitality and conviviality are the key words!
Contrary to a rental or a Airbnb, it provides no cooking or picnic facilities.
With a welcoming drink, Yolande provides you all sorts of advices to optimize your stay and discover the region at your pace: the old city of Bordeaux, St Emilion, the Arcachon Bay, chateaux and winemakers, restaurants, …
La Ferrade will entrust you the keys of the house and we pride ourselves on providing a gourmet start to your day. The morning meal is the main event! People of all different ages, origins and languages sit down at the breakfast table together and it just comes alive with conversation and laughter!
Our sole aim is that you spend an unforgettable stay in the Bordeaux region !
Prices
Stays of 6 nights or more qualify for a 5 % reduction
Additional tourist tax : 1,15 € /adult/night
(*) The rate quoted is for 2 persons; there is a charge of 30 € for the additional bed (bedroom Safran)

The house can also be rented, depending on the period and its availability, from to 2 weeks minimum.

How to get to us ?
- By train: Bordeaux St Jean station is 20 minutes’ walk away. Alternatively Tram C from St Jean station: get off at “Musard” then 15 mins walk or bus N°10 to “Barrière de Bègles”. Then 7 mins walk.
- By air: We are 30 minutes away from Bordeaux International Airport by taxi. There is an airport bus shuttle – the nearest stop is Bordeaux St Jean (see above). Cheapest takes 1:10 mins: Tram D to the “Palais de Justice” stop then take bus N° 15 at the same place and get off at “Felloneau”.
- By car: Leave the Rocade (ring road) by exits 21 (Bordeaux-Centre) or 18 (Pont de la Maye).
Free parking in the street: 1h30 of blue zone with the disc from Monday to Saturday and possibility of parking for free towards rue Salengro/Favarque (no worries).
Suggested activities and excursions
Visit Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Nearby is the market (Marché des Capucins). See too the Quartier St Michel with its antique shops, the old city centre, the Pont de Pierre (the stone bridge), and the quays of the Garonne. All this is accessible on foot, by bicycle, or by bus and tram.
The Bordeaux vineyards
The Bordeaux vineyards are close to the city. There are pleasant walks or you can visit wineries – some offer wine-tasting which is best booked in advance. A 15-30 minute drive will take you to the châteaux of Graves and Entre-deux-Mers. It takes only a little longer to reach other wine-growing areas – Médoc, Côtes de Bourg, Côtes de Blaye, and Saint-Emilion.
the Atlantic coast and the forest of the Landes
We are not far from the Atlantic coast and the forest of the Landes. Within easy reach are the beaches of Cap Ferret, the Bassin d’Arcachon and the dunes of Le Pilat.
Nearest golf courses
The nearest golf courses are Villenave d’Ornon, Pessac, Bordeaux-Lac and Le Pian-Médoc.
